Classic Plane Propeller
- Unit Price
Our collection of reverse printed, frame-less, free floating, tempered glass聽was inspired by the French technique of Verre Eglomise in which artist's literally painted the back of clear glass so that when viewed from the front the painting is brought to life under the depth of the glass. In this interesting piece, we see a close-up view of an old airplane propeller and engine compartment. You can clearly see the piston housings and bolts holding the propeller onto the rotor shaft. The propeller is a two-bladed model and appears to be made of wood. This means that the airplane is likely from the early days of flight in the early-to-mid twentieth century. What a wonderful addition this piece would make to the collection of any aviation enthusiast!
